- The dealer will deal you your share of cards and will go on to distribute the cards to your opponents. You have to look at the cards you have and try to form a valid combination out of them. This combination can be a set or a sequence of cards.
- Set: A set is when you have 3 or more cards (limits up to 10) of the same value from different suits. For example, if you have 4 cards of 6th value from all the four suits, you have a valid set.
- Sequence: A sequence is when you have 3 or more cards (limits up to 10) in the sequence of their value from the same suit. For example, if you have 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 value cards of Heart, you have a valid sequence.
- If you make a straight set or sequence without using a wild or joker card, it is called a pure combination. If you make a set or sequence using a joker or wild card, it is considered an impure combination. In this case, the player with the pure combination will be considered to be the winner.
- If you do not have cards to make valid combinations, you will have to draw from the fresh pile of cards or the discarded pile of cards. You have to discard one card in order to draw another.
- Once you have a valid combination of cards, you have to declare it to the group of players. This declaration will be considered as your call for monetary benefits.
